Our main focus is the beach.
Olde Severna Park is a private community association for the residents of the Olde Severna Park neighborhood, on the water in Severna Park.
The association's beach has a sandy shore children swim from, two piers, piling slips and moorings for boaters, and kayak rack storage.
Members built the pavilion in 2000, and the association is working toward a clubhouse so the facilities can be used year round.
Severna Park Elementary and Severna Park High are within walking distance, so there are lots of young families, along with second- and third-generation families who stayed.
The beach and pavilion
The beach is the heart of the association: a sandy beach for swimming, two piers, piling slips, moorings and kayak racks.
The pavilion, built by members in 2000, hosts the oyster roast and summer get-togethers, and members can rent it.
Volunteers clean up the beach, pavilion and paths each spring, and students can earn community service hours.
